I had the same problem for 2 days and today everything is back to normal. My connection is fine now.
Try changing the adsl mode to glite. It help sometimes.

আমি জানতে চাচ্ছি, বাংলাদেশের যে সব উপজেলায় বিটিসিএল এর টি এন্ড টি সার্ভিস আছে সে সব উপজেলায় কি বিটিসিএল এর ইন্টারনেট সার্ভিস পাওয়া যাবে????

BTTB (Bangladesh Telegraph & Telephone Board) কে ২০০৮ এর ০১ জুলাই থেকে BTCL (Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited) বলা হচ্ছে। সারাদেশে BTCL এর টেলিফোন লাইনের মাধ্যমে ডায়াল আপ ইন্টারনেট (click2net) ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন, কোন আবেদনের প্রয়োজন নেই। এজন্য এক্সেস কোড ০১০১২৩৪, ইউজার আইডিঃ btcl, পাসওয়ার্ডঃ btcl, চার্জঃ ১৫ পয়সা/মিনিট+ ১৫% ভ্যাট। আর ব্রডব্যান্ড ইন্টারনেট অর্থাৎ BCube, যেটা আমরা এখন ADSL 2+ টেকনোলজীর সাহায্যে দিচ্ছি, তা নির্দিষ্ট কিছু এক্সচেঞ্জের টেলিফোন গ্রাহক হলে আবেদনের প্রেক্ষিতে পাবেন। কোথায় কোথায় বিকিউব পাওয়া যাবে তার তালিকা এখানে দেখুনঃ http://www.bcube.net.bd/servicearea.html
ইন্টারনেট ব্যবহারের সময় টেলিফোনের চার্জ হবে না। ডায়াল আপে টেলিফোন লাইন বিজি থাকবে, কিন্তু এডিএসএল এ টেলিফোন লাইন বিজি থাকবে না। এডিএসএল এর জন্য একটা মডেম ও স্প্লিটার কিনতে হবে। ডায়াল আপের স্পিড সর্বোচ্চ ৫৬ কিলোবিট/সেকেন্ড, এডিএসএল এ প্যাকেজভেদে পাবেন ১২৮ কিলোবিট/সেকেন্ড থেকে ২ মেগাবিট/সেকেন্ড। আর এর বেশি স্পিড লাগলে অপটিকাল ফাইবার লিজ লাইন দিয়ে নেয়া যাবে, যেখানে সে সুবিধা আছে।

অনলাইনে দেখা যাচ্ছে আপনার ডিসেম্বর/২০১১-জানুয়ারী/২০১২ এর বকেয়া ৫৯৪৩/=। যদি এর মধ্যে এটা দেয়া হয়ে থাকে তবে টেলিফোন রেভিনিউ অফিসে পেইড কপি দেখালে তারা এন্ট্রি করে দেবেন। অনেক সময় ব্যাংক স্টেটমেন্ট রেভিনিউ অফিসে পৌঁছাতে দেরী হয়। আপনি প্রয়োজনে বিলে স্বাক্ষরকারী সিনিয়র একাউন্টস অফিসারের সাথেও কথা বলতে পারেন।

খিলগাও, সায়েদাবাদ, রমনা, নারায়ঙ্গঞ্জ, উত্তরা ইত্যাদি কয়েকটি এলাকায় কারিগরি ত্রুটির কারণে অনেকে এডিএসএল এ লগইন করতে পারছেন না। মেরামতের কাজ চলছে। সাময়িক এই অসুবিধার জন্য আমরা দুঃখিত।

I would like to change my post paid bcube-1024 KBps to Prepaid nightcube 2048 KBps. But i am a little bit confused with btcl nightcube- 2048 timing and recharging system. Is there any delay to start internet connection in nightcube? What is the procedure and how long it will take to recharge after 3months period? Please reply.

I had the same problem, my net was out for more then a week, its a user id/pass problem. Apparently I had to get a new password to get my net work. Im guessing you are probably facing the same problem. emem was unable to help me. I had to the btcl exchange to take care of the problem and you should do the same.

Go to your exchange, find out the divisional engineer and ask him to fix the problem. Takes 1day max…good luck.

I’ve taken a new ADSL connection from EMEM Systems, but they haven’t provided me with a working username/password yet. I’ve contacted them multiple times to no avail.

It is a nice question. But lag of information. So, it is not a valuable question at all. Adsl bill period is from 1st of month to last of month. But telephone bill period is 21st to 20th of the next month. Telephone bill is used as the the carrier of adsl bill and always print with next month of telephone bill. We discussed it in this blog several times. So, request not to confuse others with wrong of information. Thanks.

Hello BTCL/EMEM
9101509 is our number. We have been using 1MB line for years. After recent 3 days blackout we are not getting speed as before. From most sites the download speed now is around 12 to 16 KBps whereas it was above 100 KB before. We are facing difficulty in uploading also due to slow upload speed. The SNR (value 9) did not change from before.
Requesting your quick help.

After lot of persuation I have got my connection jumpered. But Emem System gave me wrong Username/Password.
I called Emem System but they said I have to wait till Sunday 12th Feb 2012.

Please apply to local Divisional Engineer (DE), BTCL office. Application form available on website and also at BTCL office reception. They’ll check if line is available in your area. If ok, then a demand note will be issued. Then you have to pay the amount (2000 for Dhaka) in the mentioned bank. After getting the bank statement, DE office will send advice note to your local camp to connect the line.

Applied on 31st of jan 2012, no update as of now from emem system.
Yesterday went to Khilga Ex. Div Eng. He said advice note not yet received. Cant help.
Called Moghbazar Ex but they said only emem system can help.
Called Emem again. they said port # not assigned yet.
Today is the 2nd last working day of this week. If I dont get the connetion on 9th Im stuck till 12th Feb.
What TO DO????
If I have to bribe someone then just say so.

আপাততঃ নেই। থার্ড পার্টি টুল ব্যবহার করে একটা হিসেব রাখতে পারেন। ভবিষ্যতে এই ফিচার যোগ করা হতে পারে, অথবা ভলিউম ভিত্তিক প্যাকেজ বাদ দেয়া হতে পারে।

আমার লাইন খুব সমস্যা করতেছে
। আজ ইমাম থেকে একজন এসে কিচ্ছু না করেই চলে গেছে । আমার লাইন কিছু ক্ষন পর পর disconnect হয়ে যাচ্ছে । ৫ মিনিটে ৫/৬ বার disconnect হয় 
। তাদের সাথে কথা বলেও লাভ হচ্ছে না । আমি নিলক্ষেত এক্সচেঞ্জ এ আছি … । কি করব অভিজ্ঞদের মতামত চাই …. প্লিজ হেল্প মি … ।

ফোন লাইনে সমস্যা হলে স্থানীয় ক্যাম্পে অভিযোগ দিতে হবে। ওয়েবসাইটের ক্যাম্প পাতাটা দেখুন। ওয়েবসাইটের কমপ্লেইন পাতায় ও ফোন নাম্বারসহ বিস্তারিত সমস্যা সাবমিট করতে পারেন।

আমার সমস্যা ল্যান্ড লাইন নিয়ে।
আমি ল্যান্ড লাইন থেকে GP Citycell ছাড়া অন্য কোন অপারেটরে ফোন করতে পারিনা। আমার লাইন মিরপুর DE এর। লোকাল লাইন ম্যানকে বলার পর উনি বলেন switch room নষ্ট এবং আরও অনেক কিছু। তিনি বলেছেন নাম্বার চেঞ্জ করতে হবে এবং টাকাও লাগবে। আমার কথা হলো ল্যান্ড লাইনের নাম্বার চেঞ্জ করা খুব ঝামেলার আর BTCL এর switch room যদি নষ্ট থাকে তাহলে আমি কেন টাকা দিয়ে নাম্বার চেঞ্জ করব?

I am currently thinking of taking a broadband service for residential purpose. I want to know the current technology BTCL provide for broadband service and cost for setting up the service for an unlimited 512 post-paid plan. Does the modem comes with the subscription? Do you supply your service to Patherghata region, Chittagong.

My Phone No is 9061923, Bcube 512 unlimited package. from yesterday evening (1/2/2012) i cannot connect to internet at all. i am under mirpur exchange and got my internet connection may 15-16 days back. i have tried switching off modem (huawei one-the official modem) and router (TP-link separate one). even tried factory reset in both of the devices more than a couple of time. i had made sure that all the parameters are the way it should be. but without any result. the net connection is suspended till now. tried calling to one of the outsourcing partner sisview who actually supplied the modem to officials in mirpur office (i think). no one picks up the phone there. even their website is not in use. would you please tell me what to do now.

What is the specific problem? Is it technical problem or ‘amla-tantric’ problem?
When will the connectivity be alright?
Will BTCL deduct from monthly changes for failing to serve people for two days?
If not, why?

ওয়েব সাইট থেকে আমি আমার টেলিফোন বিল দেখতে পারি না। খালি Access Denied Show করে। প্রায় 1 বছর হলো নতুন লাইন নিয়েছি। কোথায় বললে সমস্যা সমাধান হবে। আমি চট্টগ্রাম থাকি।

টেলিফোন নাম্বারতো বলেননি। ডাটা এন্ট্রি না থাকলে বা পাসওয়ার্ড ভুল হলে এরকম হয়। সেক্ষেত্রে ঢাকার শেরেবাংলা নগর টেলিফোন ভবনে অবস্থিত কম্পিউটার সেন্টারে জানাতে হবে। ওখানে যোগাযোগ করতে না পারলে Deputy Director (Revenue) বা Senior Accounts Officer কে অনুরোধ করতে পারেন। লগইন পেজে বা টেলিফোন বিলে তাদের নাম্বার পাওয়া যাবে। ওয়েব সাইটের বিল পাতায় ব্যাংকের তালিকায় বা বিল ক্লিয়ারেন্স সার্টিফিকেট লিংকেও নাম্বার পাবেন।

টেলিফোন নাম্বারটা পাবলিকলি দেয়াটা আমার কাছে যুক্তিযুক্ত নয়। আমি চট্টগ্রাম থাকি এখান থেকে কি কোন ব্যবস্থা করা যায় না। আমার ফোনে NWD চালু নাই আমি চট্টগ্রামের বাইরের টিএন্ডটি তে ফোন করতে পারিনা এটা কিভাবে চালু করতে হবে।

May I know what you meant buy speed doubling? I waiting long one year for this news, but I learned is that BTCL only reduced TK. 200 for 1MB connection which is frustrating. We actually need a minimum of 2 MB connection. But the 2MB connection available now is for 8:00pm to 8:00am. We are an engineering outsourcing company but always ashamed when we compare our status with India. Sometimes our client calls for online meeting, at that time India, Philippine, China, Romania and other countries can participate nicely but we keep saying my internet speed does is not enough to follow you real time.
I know many of you will suggest to take fixed bandwidth, but that is too expensive for the business. I contacted Qubee and Lion, their upload speed is one fourth of download sped which may be good for armatures or facebook users but not for professional users like us.. One sales girl told me “sir we are serving majority”. I replied you are not serving majority you are limiting the majority from opportunities.
Another issue, I needed a real IP. EMEM told you cannot have real IP through BTCL. I do not know why things are like that…. just venting..

বিটিসিএল ৫১২ আনলিমিটেড ব্যবহার করি প্রায় ১ বছর হল। ভালই চলছিল… বর্তমানে বেশ সমস্যা হচ্ছে । নেট থাকে না । রাউটার বন্দ করে আবার চালু করলে ঠিক হয়… মাঝে মাঝে এম্নেই ঠিক হয়। রাতে ভাল সমস্যা করে। লাইন যায় আর আসে।
বাসা ঃ মগবাজার , মধুবাগ , ঢাকা।
সমস্যার সমাধান দিলে উপক্রিত হতাম।

I can’t browse the internet connection is stable & i get ip address but no browsing. I always get an error

I did a ping test to the gateway 180.211.145.1 & it was horrible i got max 60% data loss!!!

Please apply to BTCL Divisional Engineer (DE)’s Office in your area in prescribed form for new connection, name and address change or correction etc. (charge & rate পাতায় পাবেন। শেরেবাংলা নগর টেলিফোন এক্সচেঞ্জের গেটে নতুন সংযোগের ফর্ম পাবেন, পুরণ করে ওখানেই জমা দিন। সংযোগ দেয়া সম্ভব হলে ডিমান্ড নোট ইস্যু করা হবে। টাকা ব্যাংকে জমা দিলে এডভাইস নোট লোকাল ক্যাম্পে পাঠানো হবে সংযোগ দেয়ার জন্য।)

Sir According to the website a new connection demands (TK 2000+Telephone set).But when i was submitting application (Gulshan1 Office) they inform me that i have to bear the charge of the cable(worth tk3000) which will be needed to cover distance between exchange point and my home.Sir i will be highly grateful if you clear me that whether i have to bear the cost of the cable or not?

প্রিপেইড সার্ভিস কিছু এক্সচেঞ্জে আছে। সার্ভিস পাতায় আই এন (ইন্টেলিজেন্ট নেট ওয়ার্ক) এ দেখুন। প্রিপেইডে লাইন রেন্ট কেটে নেয়া হয়।

ভলিউম বেজড প্যাকেজের জন্য ইউজেস স্ট্যাটাস দেখার ব্যবস্থা বর্তমান সফটওয়ারে নেই। এই মডিউল যোগ করার পরিকল্পনা হচ্ছে। অথবা ভবিষ্যতে এই প্যাকেজ বাদ দেয়াও যেতে পারে। টেলিফোনের কল লিস্ট কোন কোন এক্সচেঞ্জ থেকে আবেদনের প্রেক্ষিতে দেয়া সম্ভব। অনলাইনে দেয়া হচ্ছে না আপাততঃ।

ঠিক আছে কিন্তু আপনাদের EMEM বা Exchange এ জানালে সেখান থেকে কোন সঠিক সমাধান পাওয়া না। আমি যতটুক জানি গাজীপুর exchange এ আপনাদের এক কর্মকতা এর ভুল এর জন্য ADSL এর server নষ্ট হয়েছে গত বুধবার এর পর থেকে ADSL এ শুধু সমস্যা হচ্ছে। তাই এই সমস্যা কোথায় জানালে উত্তর পাওয়া যাবে?

১২৮ কেবিপিএস প্যাকেজে কমানো হয়েছে ৫০ টাকা ( ১০% )
২৫৬ কেবিপিএস প্যাকেজে কমানো হয়েছে ১৫০ টাকা ( ১৬.৬৭% )
৫১২ কেবিপিএস কমানো হয়েছে ৩৫০ টাকা ( ২৩.৩৩% )
১ এমবিপিএস প্যাকেজে কমানো হয়েছে ২০০ টাকা ( ৯.০৯% )
সব গ্রাহকের উপর সুবিচার করা হয়নি!
২৫৬ কেবিপিএস এর তুলনায় ৫১২ কেবিপিএস প্যাকেজের চার্জ বেশি কমানো হয়েছে। আবার ৫১২ কেবিপিএস এর তুলনায় ১ এমবিপিএস প্যাকেজের চার্জ অনেক কম কমানো হয়েছে।

৫১২ আর ২৫৬ এই দুইটা প্যাকেজের চার্জ মোটামটি কাছি। সেই তুলনায় ১০০০ প্যাকেজের চার্জ বেশি হয়ে যাচ্ছে। ১০০০ প্যাকেজের দামটা আরেকটু কমালের একটা ব্যালান্সড থাকত।

বিকিউব (এডিএসএল ব্রডব্যান্ড) এর নতুন রেট কার্যকর হচ্ছে ০১ জানুয়ারী ২০১২ থেকে। তবে কারিগরী কারণে ভলিউম বেজড ক্যাটাগরীর রেট কার্যকর হবে ১৫ জানুয়ারী ২০১২ থেকে। রেট বিষয়ে আমরা এই ব্লগে মন্তব্য করেন এমন কয়েকজন ব্লগারের পরামর্শ নিয়েছি। তাছাড়া অন্যান্য ব্রদব্যান্ড সেবাদানকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলোর রেটের সাথেও তুলনা করেছি। নতুন রেটের জন্য সন্মানিত গ্রাহকবৃন্দ দীর্ঘকাল ধৈর্য ধরে অপেক্ষা করেছেন, এজন্য আমরা কৃতজ্ঞ। আমলাতান্ত্রিক জটিলতা ও ধীরগতির বিষয়ে সবাই অবগত আছেন। স্বাক্ষরিত হার্ডকপি না পাওয়া পর্যন্ত এখনো অফিসিয়াল কাজ শুরু হয় না। সরকারী পর্যায়ে অফিস অটোমেশন এখনো হয়নি। আর প্রতিটা বিষয়ে অনেকগুলো ধাপ পেরুতে হয়। ভবিষ্যতে ব্যান্ডউইথ রেট ১০,০০০ টাকা থেকে আরো কমানো হলে আমরাও আবার কমাতে পারবো। নতুন সার্ভিস হিসেবে এডিএসএল ও এমপিএলএস ভিপিএন চালু হয়েছে। এই ব্লগে আপনাদের প্রাণবন্ত আলোচনা আমদের অনেক পদক্ষেপ নিতে ও গ্রাহক ফিডব্যাক জানতে সাহায্য করে। ভবিষ্যতে আমরা গ্রাহকদের সাথে সামনাসামনি আলোচনার উদ্যোগ নেব।

BTCL ইন্টারনেট এর যে নতুন ট্যারিফ দিয়েছে, বর্তমান ব্যান্ডউইথ এর দাম অনুসারে আমি মনে করি তা যথেষ্ট না। দাম মাত্র ৫০-২০০ টাকা কমানো হয়েছে, এ দাম দিয়ে ওয়াইম্যাক্স কোম্পানির দামের সাথে প্রতিযোগিতা করা কঠিন হবে। এতদিন পর দাম কমলো বলে আমরা আশা করেছিলাম, দাম ভালোই কমবে। কিন্তু সরকারের উপর ভরসা করে লাভ কি??? এরপর কবে যে দাম কমাবে BTCL, তা আল্লাহই জানেন।
আর দামটা শুধু BTCL এর ওয়েবসাইটে লেখা কেন? Bcube এর ওয়েবসাইটে দাম আপডেট করা হল না কেন?

বিটিসিএল এর কোন ফেয়ার ইউসেজ পলিসি বা হিডেন পলিসি নেই। যা বলা হয় তাই দেয়া হয়, তবে কারিগরী কারণে তা কখনো ব্যহত হতে পারে। আর বিটিসিএল এর ওয়াইম্যাক্স এখনো নেই। ফিক্সড লাইন ব্রডব্যান্ড।

টেলিফোনের তামার তারের মাধ্যমে ADSL ২+ এ ১-২ মেগাবিটের বেশী দেয়া যাচ্ছে না। এর বেশী যে কোন পরিমান ব্যান্ডউইথ নিতে পারেন অপটিকাল ফাইবার লিজ লাইনের মাধ্যমে।
